Covid has hit the UK nightlife scene hard. But during the brief window from August to October, some clubs were allowed to reopen with social distancing procedures. The club that I work at was one of the venues lucky enough to do so. I managed to capture a range of images of this strange time for the nightlife industry which I have now put into a project entitled 'It's Later Than You Think'. All the photos within this project were taken in 2020, I have compared the images of Jan/Feb pre-covid with the socially distanced images of August/October. One of the things that struck me most was how much the Gen Z clubbers were willing to adapt to the new normal. The images are somewhat depressing but at the same time, they depict a youthful vibrancy that we haven't seen much of this year.
